As you see from the list, we have worked with clients large and small – and have got our hands dirty on a wide assortment of projects. And from each of these, experience is gained and an understanding rubs off of the needs, motivations and constraints that our customers face.
We have particular experience with clients in the fields of pharmaceuticals and industry analytics and that continues to this day. But we continue to work with a variety of other clients and of course we welcome enquiries wherever they may arise.
Start-up companies are a particular interest. It’s rewarding to be part of the growth of new enterprise.

“The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award approached Blue Valley Systems with a number of Microsoft Access database problems that needed solving – and in need of expert guidance. Julia has been excellent to work with, highly professional and willing to ‘go the extra mile’. She has definitely been the specialist professional support we needed. We will continue to work together and would recommend Blue Valley Systems without hesitation.” Ben Storrar, Volunteers and Training Officer
‘We worked with Julia and Eric on refreshing, and eventually totally redeveloping, a legacy telecommunications database system for people working in the homelessness sector. We found Blue Valley a fantastic partner, not only technically competent, but always working hard to understand our needs, and the domain we worked in. We would recommend their services to anyone looking for solid, no-nonsense programming and technical skills, with a genuine determination to ensure the tools met the needs of the business.’ Alex Evans, CEO, Reconnectus CIC
“We called upon Blue Valley’s expertise to assist us in making our online document management system easier to use. We identified that a Microsoft Office plugin could really help our workflow and productivity, especially where we have remote offices with challenging internet services. Blue Valley filled us with confidence in the initial discussions and we are very pleased with their service in terms of value for money, professionalism and of course, the final result. Our productivity has really improved as has the overall user experience. People are more encouraged to follow usage guidelines with the help of Blue Valley and we will certainly use them again.” Rebecca Reynolds Jones, IT Manager
“Blue Valley has designed and supported complex clinical trial resource modelling and investigator payment databases for us for more than twelve years. Their understanding of our requirements, response times to queries and flexibility are consistently excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend their services.” Resource manager
“We’re a parent support charity for autistic children and their families in Lewisham. Blue Valley Systems built, to our specifications, web-based administration system, which has transformed the administration of our membership, outings, events and children’s activities. We are enormously happy with both the application and the on-going support that we have received, and have no hesitation in recommending them.” Sally Fricker, Chair
“Thomson Reuters GFMS has worked with Eric Brough at Blue Valley Systems for the past ten years. This in itself conveys the high regard in which we hold Eric. Until GFMS was bought by Thomson Reuters in 2011 we were a small company who relied heavily on outside expertise. In this regard Eric has been involved in a range of database-related projects, from initial scoping through to implementation and, finally, after-care support. As well as drawing heavily on Eric’s experience, we have also benefited from clear budgetary and development management, crucial to a company of our size. Since the acquisition, Eric has played a key role in managing what has appeared to be a seamless transition between quite different architectures. To the end-user, there was no interruption of service, which in large measure I attribute to Eric’s management of the entire process, which extended beyond GFMS to include various Thomson Reuters IT service units.” Philip Newman, Research Director
